Facilities

The research and production of the tissue cultured planting materials is enabled by the state of the art laboratory. This well structured and well kept laboratory makes working here a truly enjoyable experience with a floor space of 1600 sq ft. , separated in to 2 divisions- the R&D unit and the Production unit.

Production Unit

• The media preparation and sterilization room is well equipped with incubators, centrifuges, autoclaves, Quartz distillation units and BOD incubators
• The culture transfer room uses advanced and cutting edge florescence microscopes and laminar air flows to transfer explants in to the sterilized media.
• Bottles containing media with explants are then transferred to the growth room which can hold 30,240 culture bottles with an estimated production capacity of 5 lakh plants/year.
• Tunnel house for primary hardening of the regenerated plants.
• Green house where the saplings after primary hardening are transferred to for secondary hardening.

Research and Development Unit

• The R&D unit is complete with instruments like light intensity meter, humidity regulators, digital calipers, spectrophotometer and florescence microscopes along with well equipped observation rooms.
